S'COOL: Meet the Team

Image of SCOOL Team

From left to right:

Image of Jay Madigan Jay Madigan recently joined the project as our web expert. Jay has a degree in Earth Sciences and Meteorology from Penn State. He serves as the webmaster for the Science Directorate and continues to work part-time on the CERES Ocean Validation Experiment (COVE). In his free time he enjoys the outdoors (including observing weather and clouds!) as well as making music.

Image of SCOOL Kids S'COOL Kids are the most important members of the S'COOL Team. They represent all of the students out there who have embraced this project, and who make cloud observations for us - even when it rains or snows.
Image of Camelia Deller Camelia Deller taught English as a Second Language and Spanish to children and adults before joining the S'COOL team as a translator. She is originally from Barcelona, Spain.
Image of Joyce Fischer Joyce Fischer has been the Administrative Assistant for S'COOL since she joined the project in 2001. She is responsible for registrations, mailings, correspondence, and keeping track of all our participants.

Image of Susan Moore Susan Moore taught math and science at the middle- and high-school levels for thirty years. Susan likes to involve teachers and students in hands-on classroom activities, and views working with the S'COOL program as an opportunity to share the "fun part" of science with teachers and students.
Image of Lin Chambers Lin Chambers is the director of the S'COOL Project. She plans and coordinates and communicates and reminds and writes and reviews and talks and ... Lin is also a member of the CERES Science Team. In her non-S'COOL time, she directs the related MY NASA DATA project. She also is working on an international radiative flux assessment, and on NASA's Applied Sciences program.

Image of Tina Rogerson Tina Rogerson has been working at NASA Langley Research Center for over 22 years as a programmer and database developer/administrator. She works at the Atmospheric Sciences Data Center where the CERES data (and many other science project data) are processed, archived, and distributed. Tina joined the S'COOL team in May 2004.

Image of Graphic Team Graphics Team - S'COOL has an outstanding group supporting us with exceptional graphics. We wouldn't have the S'COOL kids without them and a host of other handouts that are provided to our participants. (Top Center going Clockwise: Staci Spencer, Wade Mickley, Pete Chiappinelli, and Percy Tessoro.) More recent members of this team have been Dan Lyons and Tim Marvel.
