CERES S'COOL Project

Students' Cloud Observations On-Line

Participants make basic weather observations in conjunction with Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) satellite overpasses at their location. The observations are used by the CERES scientists to validate their data products.

The Science Directorate at NASA's Langley Research Center, the Tidewater Chapter of Sigma Xi and the Hampton Roads Section of the American Chemical Society are partnering to host the "Science Café Series" in our community. Science Cafés are free and open to the public.

GLOBE

The GLOBE contrail observation protocol was established to help students observe and report on these human-caused clouds. This site contains explanations of how contrails form, and other useful information.
